got a 1/2-14 nptf port i need to plug. is this the right thread for that?

what applications is this plug rated for? trying to figure out if it'll hold up in a grease system we got running pretty much all day

Grease systems are squarely in the intended use range for this fitting. The 2082-8S is rated for grease, instrumentation, and most hydraulic applications, so a continuous grease circuit is a normal fit for it. The NPTF thread form gives you a tighter mechanical seal than standard NPT, which helps in systems where you want to avoid relying entirely on sealant tape to hold things together.
