trying to replace an old aeroquip elbow, how do i tell if this one matches up?

fitting says no mandrel needed and no thread sealant, that right? just crimp it on and hook it up?

For the hose end, yes, no mandrel is required during installation, which keeps things simpler. On the port side, the O-ring face seal connection handles the sealing, so thread sealant is not needed there either. The O-ring does the work, and as long as the mating surface is clean and in good shape, you get a reliable seal without any additional compounds.
