trying to swap a fitting on a -06 hose, is this one the straight male M16 x 1.5 DIN 24 degree flare style?

For a -06 hose, this is a straight steel crimp fitting with an M16 x 1.5 male German DIN 3902 24 degree flare end, and it’s called out with a 10 mm tube O.D. on the flare side.

what hose size does this fitting work with, and does it need a mandrel to crimp?

For -06 hose, and no mandrel is required during installation. That makes the process a fair bit simpler on the shop floor when you're working through a stack of fittings. It's rated for 1 and 2 wire braid hose and pairs up with H277 or H435 hose, particularly in applications where shock hazards are a concern.
