trying to swap out a fitting, is this one the M18 x 1.5 female swivel with the 24 degree DIN flare, and does it go on -04 hose?

It’s a metric female M18 x 1.5 connection built to the German DIN 3902 24 degree flare style, and the hose end is for -04 size in the Aeroquip TTC 1 and 2 wire braid steel crimp line.

fitting says -04 hose size, does that mean it'll only work with 1 and 2 wire braid hose or can it go on something heavier?

the -04 hose size is correct, and this one is built specifically for 1 and 2 wire braid steel crimp hose. Heavier multi-spiral constructions are outside what this fitting is rated for, so you'd want to match it accordingly when pulling your materials together.

Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system that sees some shock?
