Product Questions & Answers

fitting says it's for low and medium pressure -- does that mean it shouldn't be used where there's a lot of pressure spikes or hammering in the line?
Question by: Darryl F on Dec 6, 2025, 12:13 PM
For applications with shock hazards, Aeroquip specifies pairing this fitting with H277 or H435 hose rather than standard hose. The TTC fitting itself carries a torque rating of 170 to 192 lb/ft and is built from carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance, so the hardware is solid. The key is matching it with the right hose for your conditions. If shock or pressure spikes are a regular factor in your system, go with H277 or H435 and you'll be in good shape.

got a -16 hose setup, is this the right fitting size for that or am i off a size
Question by: Dean M on Dec 8, 2025, 3:04 PM
For sizing, this one is a hose fitting assembly with a -16 hose dash size, so it matches a -16 hose setup on the hose side.

What kind of hydraulics work best with this fitting? Seems like there's a few options.
Question by: Darryl J on Feb 15, 2026, 6:05 AM
It's best suited for general-purpose, low to medium pressure hydraulic systems, especially where you're dealing with potential shock hazards. H277 or H435 hoses are good choices in those situations.
