fitting says no mandrel needed, that right? just crimp straight onto the -12 hose without any extra tooling inside?

Correct, no mandrel is required for this fitting. You crimp it directly onto the hose without inserting anything inside first. Same goes for thread sealant on the metric end, you won't need any of that either. Keeps the install pretty straightforward once you've got your crimp tooling set up.

i’ve got -12 hose and need a straight female metric end, is this the one with the M36 x 2 swivel?
