trying to hook up a 3/8-18 female pipe port to a JIC line, is this the right adapter?

For a straight pipe to flare hookup, it matches that combo: one end is 3/8-18 female NPTF and the other end is 9/16-18 male SAE 37 degree flare (JIC), in steel.

got a hose end that’s 9/16-18 JIC, but the port on the valve is 3/8-18 NPT. is this the right straight adapter to tie those together?

It’s meant for exactly that kind of hookup: a 3/8-18 female NPTF internal pipe thread on one side and a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, in a straight body.

Got a line running NPT fittings on one end and JIC on the other, this the kind of adapter that bridges them two without needing extra pieces in between?

Straight through, one piece, no union required. The 3/8-18 female NPT side threads onto your pipe-threaded port, and the 9/16-18 male JIC end with the 37-degree flare seats directly into a matching JIC female.
