Question by: Todd R on Jul 23, 2025, 5:22 PM
Yes, this fitting is suitable for general purpose, low, and medium pressure hydraulic applications, and it's recommended to use H277 or H435 hoses where shock hazards exist.

got a -4 hose and need a 90 that’ll swivel, is this the right kind of fitting?
Question by: Daryl W on Jul 18, 2025, 4:10 PM
For a -4 hose, this part is a 90 degree male SAE inverted flare swivel fitting in the Aeroquip 1A Series, so it matches that hose dash size and gives you the swivel plus the elbow.

fitting's got a 90 degree elbow on it -- does that mean it'll work coming off a tight corner on a low pressure hydraulic line, or is this more of a medium pressure setup?
Question by: Dwayne W on Apr 19, 2025, 10:22 AM
Both, actually. The 1A Series from Aeroquip is built for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications, so a tight-corner routing situation is exactly where a 90-degree swivel elbow like this earns its keep. The swivel feature lets you position the hose without twisting it during installation, which helps a lot when you're working in a confined area. Just keep in mind the product notes flag that if shock hazards are present in your system, you'd want to look at H277 or H435 hose instead of running this fitting with standard hose.
