What's the A and B dimension on this elbow? Just trying to make sure it'll fit in the space I got.

The A dimension is 0.94 inches, and the B dimension is 1.5 inches. Make sure to account for the swivel when you're measuring!

Got a 90-degree elbow fitting I need to swap out on a food processing line. This one here rated for that kind of application, or is it strictly industrial?

Food and beverage processing is actually one of the listed applications for this fitting, along with chemical processing, marine and military use, offshore drilling, and pulp and paper use. It's an Eaton Aeroquip 2047 Series adapter, so it carries solid backing from a well-regarded manufacturer. The 3/8-18 female NPT swivel on one end connects to a 3/8-18 male NPT on the other, and the 90-degree elbow orientation makes it practical in tight or angled hydraulic connections situations where a straight adapter just won't work.

got a tight spot on a line, is this the kind of 90 elbow that lets the female end swivel while you tighten it up

With this 2047 series elbow adapter you get a 90 degree turn and a female NPSM internal pipe swivel on one end, paired to a male NPTF external pipe on the other. That swivel female side is meant to make alignment and tightening easier without having to fight the hose or tube position.
