Will this tee fitting work with regular hydraulic systems, or is it just for grease and instrumentation?

i need to tee off a 1/8 pipe line, is this the one thats got a male on the branch and female on the run?

For the 2091-2-2S, the branch side is 1/8-27 male NPT and the run side is 1/8-27 female NPT. It is a steel tee adapter in the Eaton Aeroquip 2091 series with NPTF external pipe to NPTF internal pipe.
