fitting says it works with -06 hose, but does that mean it'll crimp onto both 1 and 2 wire braid or just one of em?

Both wire braid configurations are covered. The design accommodates 1 and 2 wire braid hose in -06 size, so you're not locked into one or the other. Just make sure the hose itself is compatible with your application pressure range, since this fitting is rated for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic work.
