trying to match up a hose end, is this one the straight 3/4-14 male npt swivel for a -12 hose?

This Eaton Aeroquip fitting is indeed designed for general-purpose, low to medium pressure hydraulic systems. It's good for situations where there might be some shock.

fitting says it works for 1 and 2 wire braid hose, does that mean i can run it on either type without needing a different crimp spec, or do i gotta swap something out?

Both 1 and 2 wire braid hose are covered under this fitting's design, so you're not looking at separate part numbers for each. The TTC series handles that range without requiring you to change your setup. Just make sure your hose is a -12 size to match the fitting, and you're good to go with standard crimping for either braid configuration.
