i got a hose end that’s 1-1/16-12 female JIC swivel, will this adapter step me down to a 9/16-18 male JIC without any funny business

what's the difference in thread size between the two ends on this adapter? trying to figure out if it'll work as a reducer in my line.

One end is a 1-1/16-12 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel and the other is a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare. Both ends use the same SAE 37 degree flare seating angle, so you're keeping a consistent connection type while stepping down in thread size. That makes it a straight reducer adapter, not a conversion between different fitting standards.
