Product Questions & Answers

What kind of applications does this fitting work with?
Question by: Kirk R on Jan 10, 2026, 7:01 PM
This Eaton Aeroquip adapter is suitable for several applications, including marine and military uses, chemical processing, pulp and paper industries, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling.

Does this adapter hold up in saltwater or chemical environments, or is it gonna corrode out on me after a season?
Question by: Patty E on Jul 26, 2025, 3:23 PM
Carbon steel on its own wouldn't be the first choice for harsh wet or chemical exposure, but this one comes with Dura-Kote plating which is specifically meant to fight off corrosion in tough conditions. It's listed for use in marine, military, offshore drilling, and chemical processing applications, so it's built with those environments in mind. As long as it's the right fit for your connection type and pressure requirements, you shouldn't have trouble getting solid service life out of it in those settings.

got a tight spot on a hydraulic run, is this the kind of 90 that goes from ORS to pipe thread?
Question by: Janet M on Jul 25, 2025, 11:53 AM
Built as a 90 degree elbow adapter, it connects an ORS male end on one side to an NPTF male end on the other, with the NPTF side being 0.75.
