fitting says no mandrel required, does that mean I can just crimp it straight onto the hose without any extra tooling or prep work?

For 1 and 2 wire braid steel crimp applications, yes, no mandrel is needed during the crimping process. You can crimp directly onto the hose without that additional insert step, which saves some time during assembly. Just make sure you're working with H277 or H435 hose if your application involves shock hazards, since those are the compatible hose types called out for this fitting.

got a -06 hose and need to turn the line 90 degrees without kinking it, is this the right crimp end?
