These seals are made to fit right into a standard male JIC 37-degree flare fitting. You shouldn't need any special tools or adapters to get 'em working.

For male JIC 37-degree flare fittings and adapters, these drop right in without any special adapter setup. They're part of the Eaton Aeroquip Flaretite Series and are built to seat against the flare face of compatible male JIC fittings, giving you a leak-proof connection in high-pressure systems. The 0.5-inch diameter rating covers the fitting size this seal is meant for, so as long as you're working with that size JIC connection, you're in good shape.
