Product Questions & Answers

got a piece of equipment that sits outside year round so it sees freezing cold and gets real hot running in summer. can i run regular hydraulic fluid thru it
Question by: Stan W on Jun 5, 2025, 12:35 PM
Temperatures between -40 and 212 degrees Fahrenheit are fully supported by the synthetic rubber tube and cover. You can safely run both petroleum-based and water-based hydraulic fluids through the line for general service.

got a job where space is tight. how sharp can this hose bend without kinking up?
Question by: Billy P on Sep 5, 2025, 6:58 AM
Minimum bend radius on this hose is 4 inches. Keeping your routing at or above that radius helps it hold shape and avoid stressing the double wire braid.

got a tight spot to route this line, how sharp can i bend it without kinkin it
Question by: Ronnie B on Oct 15, 2025, 1:59 PM
For routing, the published minimum bend radius is 4 inches. Keeping your bend at 4 inches or larger helps prevent kinking and protects the wire braid reinforcement.

burst pressure on this one is listed at 16,000 PSI -- that seem right for a half-inch hose running 4000 working pressure?
Question by: Ray A on Apr 8, 2025, 7:03 AM
that 4-to-1 safety ratio is exactly what you'd expect on a hose rated to this spec. The working pressure tops out at 4000 PSI and the burst is confirmed at 16,000 PSI, so the margin is solid. For most hydraulic service running petroleum or water-base fluids, that ratio holds up well under normal operating conditions.
