For fit checks, both ends on this fitting are 3/4-16 threads built to SAE J514, and they are female JIC swivel 37 degree flare connections on each side.

Correct on both counts. Each end carries a 3/4-16 female JIC swivel connection with a 37-degree flare seat, per SAE J514. So if you've got two male JIC fittings or hose ends you're trying to join inline, this is the piece that bridges them.
