got a port that’s 1/2-14 female npt. will this adapter let me go over to a 3/4-16 jic flare on the other side?

Function-wise, yes. It is a straight steel adapter that connects a 1/2-14 female NPT (NPTF internal pipe) on one end to a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare (SAE 37 degree flare) on the other.
