got a -12 E-Z Clip hose end im putting together, how many clips am i supposed to use on this cage?

For each fitting, you install two properly sized clips on the cut end of the hose, then slide both clips over the cage arms into the channels and close them with the FT1357 clip closing pliers.

Will these cages work with just any old hose, or do I need something special?
