fitting says reusable but how does that actually work with a 1 wire braid hose, do you just unscrew it and put it back on another hose?

Reusable on this type of fitting means you can remove it from a worn or damaged hose and install it onto a new one without needing a press or any special crimping equipment. The three-piece design is what makes that possible. You disassemble the fitting, pull the old hose out, prep your new hose, and reassemble. It saves money over time compared to buying crimp fittings every time a hose goes bad, especially if you're swapping hoses with any regularity.
