What kind of seal does this fitting use? Just want to make sure I get the right replacement O-rings down the road.

This fitting uses an NBR O-Ring to ensure a secure seal, so you'll want to look for replacements made of that material.

what's the thread setup on this fitting, one end NPT and the other an o-ring boss?

That's right. One end is a 7/16-20 Male SAE O-Ring Boss, which follows SAE J514 spec, and the other is a 1/4-18 Male NPTF per SAE J476. The NBR o-ring is already included, so you're not hunting down a separate seal to get it buttoned up. Straight steel construction throughout.
