Got a JIC fitting on my hydraulic line and need to step up to a 3/4-16 ORB port on the manifold, this straight adapter do that job?

That's what this fitting handles. One end is a 9/16-18 Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare, the other is a 3/4-16 Male SAE O-Ring Boss, so it bridges those two connection types in a straight configuration. Both threads meet SAE J514 spec, and the fitting is rated to 6,000 PSI dynamic pressure, which covers most standard hydraulic circuit demands. The NBR o-ring on the ORB end handles the seal at that port.

trying to swap out a fitting, what threads are on each end of the 06MJ-08MORB?

On one side you have a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare with a 9/16-18 thread. The other side is a male SAE O-Ring Boss with a 3/4-16 thread, and it uses an NBR O-ring seal.
