got a cylinder that likes to run away on the way down. is this the kind of valve that keeps a load from taking off if a hose pops?

Built for load control, the 1CE30 counterbalance (overcenter) cartridge meters flow out of the actuator so the load cannot drop faster than the input flow allows. When it is installed close to or within the actuator, it also provides hose failure safety by stopping runaway in the event of a hose burst.
