Product Questions & Answers

What kind of hydraulic systems is this hose good for?
Question by: Brent R on Apr 23, 2025, 8:30 AM
This hose is intended for high-pressure hydraulic systems using either petroleum-based or water-based fluids. General industrial applications are also suitable.

hose is rated up to 5076 PSI, but what kind of temps can it handle on the low end? running some equipment through some real nasty cold snaps and need to know if it'll hold up
Question by: Donna R on Apr 26, 2025, 6:02 PM
Cold weather performance is one of this hose's stronger points. The lower temperature limit is -40°F, so operation through harsh winter conditions falls well within its rated range. The inner tube is synthetic rubber and the cover is the Dura-Tuff rubber formulation, both of which are suited to maintain flexibility at those low temperatures. For petroleum and water-based hydraulic fluids in cold-weather service, it was built with exactly that kind of environment in mind.

got a tight spot to route it, how sharp can i bend this -32 hose without kinking it
Question by: Scott B on Feb 20, 2026, 8:20 AM
For the -32 size, the minimum bend radius is 18.75 inches. Staying at or above that radius helps keep the hose from being forced into a kinked bend.

Running a 2-inch hydraulic line on some pretty demanding equipment and need something that'll hold up past 4,500 PSI. this hose rated high enough to handle that kind of pressure regular?
Question by: Todd M on May 12, 2025, 6:43 AM
At a 2-inch ID, this hose is rated to handle up to 5,076 PSI, so you've got solid headroom above 4,500. The multi-spiral wire reinforcement, either 4 or 6 heavy spiral wires depending on the size, is what gives it that pressure capacity without sacrificing flexibility. The minimum bend radius is 18.75 inches, so just plan your routing with that in mind and you won't have any issues on the pressure side.
