What kind of attachments and fittings work best with this hose?

Cam and groove fittings, made of aluminum or polypropylene, are a good choice. You can also use combination nipples made of steel, brass, or stainless steel. For attaching them, crimping, swaging, or preformed clamps like Band-It Jr clamps work well.
