torque rating on this fitting is 270Nm, that enough for heavy-duty hydraulic line work or is that on the lower end for that kind of application?

For heavy-duty hydraulic use, 270Nm is a solid torque rating and falls right in line with what you'd expect from a fitting built for demanding conditions. This is an Eaton Aeroquip Waltech piece, carbon steel construction, and the whole WalPro Heavy Series line is put together specifically for critical use where you can't afford a lot of downtime. It's not a light-duty number they slapped a heavy-duty label on.
