What kind of fluid should I be running in this thing? I want to make sure I don't mess it up.

This unit works best with fluid viscosity between 12 cSt and 75 cSt. It can handle a minimum of 10 cSt and a maximum of 400 cSt. For testing, they used mineral oil with a viscosity of 16 cSt.
