what kind of controls does this valve setup work with? trying to figure out if it'll play nice with our cable actuators before we order

Cable control is one of the supported options on the VD6A Series, along with manual, electric, electro-hydraulic, proportional hydraulic, pneumatic, proportional pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic. So your cable actuators should line up just fine with what this kit is built to accommodate.
