Will this pump work for power steering on my old Ford tractor?

This V2010 series double vane pump is indeed designed for power steering applications, as well as industrial small units. Just make sure the specs line up with your tractor's requirements, like the 2500 PSI max pressure and the 3000 RPM speed rating.

runs counterclockwise out of the box, right? just want to make sure before i go bolting it up to my setup

Yes, CCW rotation is the default configuration on this pump. That said, the shaft rotation can be changed by reassembling the internal parts, so if your application calls for clockwise rotation down the road, that option is there without needing a whole different unit.
