Part number C1DM66, that the same thing as the U-0996L-17, or are them two different parts?

Same part, two different numbers. Permco lists it under both C1DM66 and U-0996L-17, so either one gets you to the exact same gear. Suppliers sometimes cross-reference one or the other depending on where they sourced it, but there's no difference between them.
