Product Questions & Answers

what's the temperature range on the bladder for this accumulator? got a application that runs pretty hot
Question by: Keith H on Oct 28, 2025, 5:46 PM
Buna-N bladders on these units handle an optimal range of 35°F to 160°F for regular continuous operation. If your system pushes past that, the peak tolerance goes up to 210°F, though you want to stay in the optimal band whenever you can to get the most life out of the bladder. On the cold end, it'll handle down to negative 10°F at peak. So if your application is running hot but staying under 210°F, you're within the rated limits.

got a system that spikes a bit when a valve snaps shut. is this 1 gallon bladder accumulator meant to help with that kind of surge?
Question by: Glen C on Sep 17, 2025, 5:17 PM
For surge and shock control, this style is commonly used for shock absorption and surge dampening, along with supplementing pump flow and providing a standby source of fluid energy.

what gas do you precharge this thing with, and is there anything I gotta watch out for before running it?
Question by: Peggy B on Sep 10, 2025, 4:44 PM
Dry nitrogen gas is the only approved precharge for this accumulator. Running it without a proper precharge will damage the bladder and can create a serious safety hazard. Before any maintenance or service work, you need to release all system pressure and all stored pressure first. The bottom repairable design includes an integrated pressure relief feature, but it still cannot be disassembled while under pressure, so that step is not optional.

Will this accumulator work alright in a hydraulic system that sees pressures up to 3000 PSI?
Question by: Merle K on Oct 31, 2025, 10:20 AM
This Type S3 accumulator is designed to handle a maximum operating pressure of 3000 PSI, making it suitable for your high-pressure hydraulic system.

got a 3000 psi hydraulic setup. is this accumulator rated to handle that, or am i pushin it?
Question by: Gene P on Nov 17, 2025, 2:43 PM
Constraint-wise, the maximum operating pressure on this Type S3 is 3000 PSI, so it is intended to run up to that limit.
