fitting says no mandrel needed, is that right? never used one that didn't need it and just want to make sure before i order a bunch

Correct, no mandrel is required during installation. That's one of the practical advantages of this 1A Series crimp fitting. You can crimp directly onto 1 or 2 wire braid hose without that extra step, which keeps the process simpler and faster, especially if you're doing multiple assemblies at once.

Trying to match up a hose end, is this one a straight -06 crimp with a 13/16-16 male ORFS?
