i got -08 hose on the truck, is this fitting the right match and what kinda end is it

It’s a straight steel crimp fitting made for -08 hose, and the threaded end is a 1-14 female O-ring face seal swivel (ORS).

This Eaton Aeroquip fitting is designed for general purpose, low to medium pressure hydraulic applications. For tractors, it's often used in applications where the pressure isn't too extreme and you need a reliable connection. Just make sure your tractor's system falls within those pressure ranges.

got a -08 hose here, will this fitting crimp on and still let me swivel it into place?

For a -08 hose, this is the matching crimp fitting size, and the connection end is a 1-14 Female O-Ring Face Seal swivel. That swivel is there so you can line it up and tighten it without having to twist the hose.
