fitting says it works with -08 hose, but does that mean it'll only crimp onto one specific hose or are there a couple options I can run with it?

Two hoses work with this fitting. H277 and H435 are both compatible with the -08 hose size here. The main thing to know is that H277 or H435 should be your go-to if there's any chance of shock hazards in your setup. Outside of that concern, either one covers general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic work just fine.

For H277 or H435 hoses, this fitting is a good match, particularly where you might have to worry about shock hazards.
