my equipment deals with a heavy amount of line shock on a regular basis. is this standard fitting the right move for that setup

For systems with shock hazards you should actually look at using the H277 or H435 models instead. The Global TTC fitting here is strictly meant for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics.

Will this fitting hold up alright in a hydraulic system that sees some pretty good jolts and bumps?

This fitting is constructed from steel, which offers reliable performance even in applications where shock hazards are present. For optimal results, use it with H277 or H435 hoses, as noted in the description.

got a -16 hose here, will this straight male pipe crimp end match up or am i chasing the wrong one

It’s a straight steel crimp fitting with a 1-11-1/2 male NPT pipe thread on one end and it’s made to crimp onto a -16 hose. It’s also called out for use with H277 or H435 hose.
