Running -16 hose on a medium-pressure system and tryin to figure out if this JIS swivel fitting'll work without needing thread tape or sealant. That right?

No sealant needed on this one. The G 1 Female JIS 30-degree flare swivel design creates its seal through metal-to-metal contact at the flare, so thread sealant is not part of the assembly process. Same goes for a mandrel, which is not required either. That keeps the installation pretty straightforward, especially when you're working in a tight spot or moving fast on a job.

got a -16 hose and need a straight JIS swivel end. is this the one with the G 1 female 30 degree flare?
