got a -32 hose here, does this fitting match up and what kind of end is it?

It is a straight steel crimp fitting made for -32 hose and it has a female JIC 37 degree flare on the other end with 2-1/2-12 threads.

fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose when shock hazards are present, does that mean it ain't rated for standard hose runs where shock ain't a factor?

For general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic lines without shock concerns, standard hose compatibility applies. The H277 and H435 callout is specifically for situations where shock hazards exist, so those hoses are the recommended choice in those conditions. Outside of shock environments, this fitting is built for typical low and medium pressure hydraulic work.
