fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose, does that mean it won't work on other -12 hose types, or is that just a recommendation for shock situations?

The H277 and H435 callout is specifically for applications where shock hazards are present. Those hose types are recommended when your system sees pressure spikes or impact loads. For general low and medium pressure hydraulic work without shock concerns, this fitting is suited for standard -12 hose. The shock hose guidance is a precaution, not a blanket restriction on all other -12 hose.

trying to swap out an old 90 elbow on a -12 hose, does this one match up with an M30 x 2 female DIN light duty swivel?

It’s a -12 hose crimp fitting with an M30 x 2 female German DIN 3902 24 degree flare light duty swivel, built in a 90 degree elbow. It’s also called out with a 22 mm tube outer diameter and 0.75 end sizes on both ends, so it’s aimed at metric line, hose, and tube setups that use that DIN 24 degree flare light duty connection.

Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system that sees some vibration? I'm using H277 hose.
