got a -12 hose and need a 90 to a split flange, is this the right fitting or am i mixing things up

got a system that takes some pretty heavy shock. would this aeroquip fitting hold up ok for that kind of run?

For systems with shock hazards, you actually need to switch over to the H277 or H435 options. The fitting you are looking at here is strictly built for general purpose low and medium pressure setups without those spikes.

fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose, does that mean it won't crimp right onto other hose types?

For this particular fitting, H277 and H435 are the specified compatible hoses. Those are the ones called out specifically because of how the crimp geometry and braid construction are matched. Using a different hose type risks an improper crimp profile, which can lead to leaks or fitting pullout under pressure. Stick with those two hose families to make sure you're getting a secure, reliable connection.
