trying to replace a fitting on a -16 hose, is this one the straight sae code 61 split flange with the 1.75 head?

General purpose low and medium pressure setups are the intended application here. You will want to look at the H277 or H435 models if your hydraulic system experiences actual shock hazards.

fitting won't need a mandrel or thread sealant, right? just want to make sure before i order a bunch of these for a crimp job we got coming up

Correct on both counts. No mandrel is required for installation, and thread sealant is not used with this fitting. That keeps the assembly process pretty straightforward, especially when you're running through a batch of them.
