Column load data for this tie rod cylinder is based on a pin-to-pin mounting calculation, and long stroke cylinders such as this one have lower full extension ratings to prevent shaft buckling. It's best used in direct, in-line applications.

Rod diameter on this one is 1.25 inches, that gonna hold up running at full 2500 PSI, or is there a load ceiling I ought to be keeping in mind?

At full 2500 PSI operating pressure, the rated load on this cylinder comes out to 24,000 pounds. That said, long stroke cylinders do carry a lower full extension rating to guard against column loading, which is basically the shaft buckling under compressive force. The pin-to-pin mounting calculation factors into that, so if you're pushing heavy loads at or near full extension, build in a minimum safety factor of 2 on whatever you're pushing. That's the manufacturer's own recommendation baked into the design spec.

The key dimensions are a 3.50 inch bore, 1.25 inch rod, and an 8.00 inch stroke. Mounting length is 18.25 inches pin to pin when retracted and 26.25 inches pin to pin when extended, and it uses 1 inch pins.
