rated load shows 5900 lbs -- is that the push force or the pull force, or both?

The 5900 lb rated load applies to the push stroke on this cylinder. Pull force on a double-acting cylinder like this one is lower because the rod takes up area on the back side of the piston, which reduces the effective surface area. With a 1.13 inch rod and a 2 inch bore running at the rated pressure, your pull force will come in noticeably below that 5900 number. Worth calculating that out before committing to this size if your application is rod-end pull dominated.

It uses a 1-inch diameter pin.

got a cylinder that’s 2 inch bore and 20 inch stroke, will this one match up on the hydraulic connections side or am i gonna be swapping fittings

Port-wise it uses 3/8 NPT ports. If your hoses or valve lines are already 3/8 NPT, it should hook up without changing the port type, and if not you would be looking at adapters or different hose ends to match that thread.
