how long before this stuff sets up enough to keep parts from movin around during assembly?

Fixture tight happens within an hour, so parts won't shift around on you during the process. Full cure takes 24 hours at 75 degrees F, and that's when you've got the full 3000 to 4000 PSI shear strength holding everything together.
