got a C-10-4 cavity block already, will this SV9-10 screw right in or am i missing something

It is a screw-in cartridge built for the C-10-4 cavity, but it ships as cartridge only. You will still need the matching SV9-10 housing (sold separately) and a J Series 20 watt coil (also sold separately) to make a complete working assembly.

hey what all comes in the box with this valve do I need to buy a coil and housing or are they included

You will need to purchase the coil and housing separately since this is just the bare cartridge. It requires a J Series 20 Watt coil and fits directly into a C-10-4 size cavity.

Does this cartridge come with a housing or do I need to order that separate? Also what about the coil, is that thrown in?

Neither the housing nor the coil are included with this cartridge. The cavity size you'll need is C-10-4, and that has to be ordered separately. Same goes for the coil, the J Series 20 Watt coil is a common match but it's a separate purchase. Worth getting both sorted out before you go to install so everything's on hand at once.

got a manifold already, does this valve come with the coil and housing or is it just the cartridge?

Cartridge only is what you are getting here. It does not include a coil, and it does not include a housing. It installs as a screw in cartridge and needs a machined C-10-4 cavity or a separate housing.

Will this valve hold up okay in a hydraulic system on a farm combine? We get some pretty hot summers around here.

This SV9-10 series valve is rated for temperatures between -40°F and 248°F, so it should handle even a hot summer without issue.
