how tight is the seal on this valve when its closed up? worried about leakby on a mobile setup

At 3000 PSI you are looking at a maximum internal leakage of less than 5 drops per minute. It uses standard Buna-N seals to keep things restricted when in the de-energized position blocking flow from port 2 to 1.

does this valve come with the coil and housing, or is that all bought separate?

The cartridge itself is what you get here. No coil, no housing included. Both are sold separately, and the valve requires a machined cavity sized C-8-2 for installation. Worth making sure you have that cavity ready before ordering, or picking up the matching housing at the same time.

putting this on a little harvester manifold, what all do i need besides the cartridge itself?

For installation you will need a machined cavity or housing in the C-8-2 cavity size, since the valve is a screw-in cartridge and the housing is not included. You will also need a compatible coil because this part ships without a coil.
