Reckon this'll fit in a standard C-10-2 cavity, or am I gonna need somethin' special?

This SV3-10-C series valve is indeed compatible with a C-10-2 cavity housing. Just make sure you get the housing separately since it ain't included.

does this valve need a housing included or do i have to buy that separate

The cartridge itself ships without a housing. You'll need to source a C-10-2 cavity housing separately before installation. Same goes for the coil if you don't already have one on hand. Both are sold apart from this unit, so make sure you've got those pieces lined up before you go pulling the old valve out.
