runs at 5000 psi all day long on our refuse trucks, but what's the actual flow this thing can handle before it starts causing problems?

Rated flow tops out at 35 GPM, and the pressure ceiling is 5000 PSI. Those numbers hold for both mobile and industrial setups, so refuse hauler duty is well within range. Keep in mind this is the cartridge only, no coil or housing included, so you'll need to source those separately before it's ready to run.

got a spot for a C-16-2 cavity already. does this SV13-16-C just screw in there, or am I missing a housing?

For installation, it uses a C-16-2 machined cavity and it’s a screw-in cartridge style valve. The “Housing: None” note means you are only getting the cartridge, so you still need a proper cavity or housing block that’s machined for C-16-2.

Application-wise, yes, this Vickers/Eaton SV13-16-C series valve is listed for use on refuse haulers, along with harvesters and other mobile and industrial applications.
