Got a 3-inch suction line on my reservoir setup, will this strainer fit up to it without needing any adapter fittings?

The port on this unit is a 3 NPT, so it connects directly to a 3-inch NPT suction line with no adapter needed. Rated for up to 104 GPM, so as long as your flow demand falls under that, you're in good shape on the performance side too.

For a 3 NPT connection, this model matches that port size. Filtration is a 100 mesh pleated stainless steel wire screen, listed as 150 micron.

How deep does this thing need to be submerged in the hydraulic fluid?

Mounting these suction strainers requires that the top of the unit remains at least 3 inches below the lowest oil level to prevent cavitation. For larger sizes, use 1-1/2 pipe diameters instead of 3 inches.
