Product Questions & Answers

Will this gauge work on any filter with a 3 PSI bypass or does it have to be a Stauff brand?
Question by: Neil M on Jan 28, 2026, 9:05 PM
This gauge is designed for filters that have a 3 PSI bypass. While it's listed under the Stauff brand, the functionality is tied to the 3 PSI bypass specification, not necessarily the brand of the filter itself.

got a suction line filter with a 3 PSI by-pass. is this GV-5 gauge the right kind for that setup
Question by: Travis M on Mar 3, 2026, 2:07 PM
For suction line applications where the filter has a 3 PSI by-pass, the GV-5 is built for that exact use. It is a vacuum gauge meant to monitor suction line pressure on those filtration systems.

connection on this is 1/8 NPT, right? got a suction line setup running a filter with that 3 PSI by-pass and need to make sure this'll thread right in without adapters
Question by: Chad B on Feb 27, 2026, 6:56 PM
Yeah, 1/8 NPT is the connection on the GV-5. If your suction line port is already tapped for 1/8 NPT, it should thread straight in. Just make sure the filter you're running is set up for that 3 PSI by-pass rating, since that's what this gauge is built around measuring.
